Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks which dealt with the subject of race and sexuality. Her fame grew into Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical encounter. She performed on the trumpet. Later, she began hip-hop and classical training. Following a focus on education, she earned the degree of journalist in university and also a women's study degree. The focus changed towards music after she graduated. Her track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a viral hit across the Internet and was later featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also contained popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The single that debuted was directly connected to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. Her resume included both author and musician. She was now looking to further her career in acting. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several major roles like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released In Fina We Trust.
