Alanis Morissette is a Canadian was born on June 1, 1974, in Ottawa. Alanis' Greek is a female version of the surname Alan's father had. Her siblings are Chad (Alanis twin) as well as Wade. She was able to play the piano when she was 6 and the guitar at the age of 21. Alanis recorded a 1986 single named Fate Stay With Me (b Side: Find The Right Man). In Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop records: Alanis (in the year 1991) and the album Now Is The Time in 1992.
